Vacant Space
With the semester coming to an end, organizations have less to advertise and promote. With this lack of promotion needs, the need for tables has drastically declined. The Roto that was once hard to book a table now has open availability.
This empty space has been a reminder that yet another semester has come to an end. Students are now a semester closer to their graduation date and are also reminded of how quickly a college semester can fly by.
With summer vacation approaching, Roto Girl will be going on a summer break as well. Roto Girl will be back next semester with your Rotunda updates; stay tuned!
Until next time,

SAAC Volleyball Tournament: SAAC wants to know, "Do you think you got game?" Located at the Media Wall is a table advertising a volleyball tournament to support SAAC - student athlete advisory committee. Sign-ups are available all this week, and it costs a whopping $25 dollars to enter your team. The event will occur on May 9th at 1:00pm on the volleyball courts. There are no promises of a prize, as this information is missing from their posters, but we are sure that the tournament will be lots of fun!

Are You On Your Way to Bryant 5K?
Spotted: Two events in the Roto that promote healthy living. The Bryant "On My Way 5K" began sign-ups this week to encourage healthy physical living. On the flip side, a plethora of gift baskets were on display to promote giving (to Haiti) and a positive mentally healthy lifestyle.
"On My Way 5K": Bryant University’s Healthy Campus Coalition is hosting its second annual 5K on Saturday, May 8th and you can sign up now in the roto! To enter simply stop by one of their tables located upstairs outside of the faculty cafeteria and outside of faculty suite A. Brittany Eager, a member of the Coalition describes the event as a fun way to get outside and be active. She said, “People can walk it run it or whatever. The 5K is put on by the Healthy Campus Coalition which is to promote healthy lifestyles in the Bryant Community.”
Haiti Basket Raffle: Another main attraction in the roto is the basket raffle for Haiti. SPB’s community service committee is running the raffle in an effort to raise funds for Haiti. For five dollars you can get twenty raffle tickets and get a chance to win multiple gift baskets.
Above: Becky Ricard and Heather Lamoureus sit at the table for basket raffles.

Bryant's Got Talent!
The fliers belong to none other than the Alliance for Woman's Awareness. Yesterday they sat in the Roto selling tickets for their upcoming event, "Showtime at the Apollo." This is more commonly known among the Bryant & Facebook community as "Bryant's Annual Talent Show".
For the past three days, this organization has sat in the Roto during class hours in an eager attempt to have successful ticket sales, in addition to putting fliers on every table in Salmo.
Did their attempts grab your attention?
If you are interested in attending, the event will be held TONIGHT (April 28th) at 9:00 p.m. in Janikes. The cost is $3.o0 for students and $5.00 for non-students.
Come out and see the diverse talent that Bryant students offer!

Repeat Tables
Delta Zeta Turtle Tug: Delta Zeta has yet again set up tables so teams can sign-up for their fundraiser event for their national philanthropy, The Painted Turtle Camp (event is described in more detail in a prior post). Delta Zeta has worked hard at promoting this fundraiser with their constant P.R. in the Roto and even outside of the Roto. Claire Divver, Delta Zeta President, spoke up during the last Greek Life Panhellenic/Interfraternity Council Meeting to encourage teams to sign up. Has their P.R. campaign been successful? Only time will tell; at their event next Wednesday.
SPB Third Eye Blind Concert: Throughout the past week, SPB has received the most attention in the Roto, often times making it nearly impossible to walk through the Roto because the line to get to their table is so long. However, two days ago (April 21) the crowd cleared out. SPB sold out of tickets for the concert in record time. Hopefully the majority of the student body got their tickets in time, since SPB sold out while they were selling "guest" tickets. The students must be excited about the concert, in addition to whatever guests are coming. Let's hope Bryant students got their tickets in time, or else it is going to be a sad May 1 for them.
Delta Chi Rock, Paper, Scissors Tournament: Although not previously mentioned, and although the event has already passed; Delta Chi, a fraternity on campus, promoted their Rock, Paper, Scissors tournament in the Roto on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. The fraternity held the tournament to further raise money for their national philanthropy, The V Foundation for Cancer Research. They have held additional events in the past for the philanthropy, but the members were excited to hold a new event, different from their yearly events, such as the DPS softball game or the Rock-a-Thon, they hold. It was only one dollar per person to play and the winner received a twenty-five dollar gift cards. At such a low cost, hopefully their table-sitting skills in the Roto paid off.

The Beginning Of The End
Spring Weekend: This week, the SPB team has been spotted in the Roto selling guest tickets ($35) for the weekend and nostalgic spring weekend t-shirts. SPB has come up with two "Bryant Loves the 90's" designs to choose from (featured below), and each shirt costs only $5. One of the shirt designs has the old school Nintendo controller, while the other has a fanny pack. The back of both shirts displays all of the events that will be occurring. Everyone is undoubtedly excited to sit back and take a break, and people have been flooding the SPB tables all week. Rumor has it that all student and guest tickets are sold out. Administration is also gearing up for the weekend, and sent out a spring weekend policy reminder e-mail this morning.
Senior Week: Senior Week tickets will continually be on sale in the Roto on Wednesday from 10-2 and 5-7, and Thursday from 10-2. Seniors are reminded to pick up their Senior Week packets in their Bryant mailboxes. When approaching the tables in the Roto, seniors are reminded to bring their registration form (back page of the senior week packet), Bryant ID, and their payment. It is also noted that Senior Ball table sign-ups will be occurring in the roto as well. Class committee members encouraged your form your table before signing up to avoid confusion. Any further questions should be e-mailed to the Class of 2010 Committee at: Class2010@organizations.bryant.edu

Any student is welcome to attend this week's events and cheer on one of the largest organizations on campus, while they celebrate "being Greek!"
