Spotted: Army shirts taking over the Roto! Last Friday was the kick-off to Greek Week; a week, much like the Olympic Games, where sorority and fraternity chapters on campus compete against one another, in hopes of becoming the "gold medalist" of Greek Week.
On Friday, members from various chapters sat at a table in the Roto hoping to educate the student body on what exactly Greek Week is and the events that will be taking place this week.
The theme for Greek Week 2010 is "army." The Greek Week shirts resemble an army shirt and have the slogan "If you weren't drafted, you got shafted."
This weeks events are as follows:
Friday, April 16th - Relay for Life
5pm - 11am at the Track
Sunday, April 18th - Lipsync
8pm in Janikies
Monday, April 19th - Greek Olympics
5pm at the Bryant Center Lawn
Tuesday, April 20th - Nugget Bowl

Wednesday, April 21st - Photo Hunt

Saturday, April 24th - Basketball and Knockout with BBQ
2pm at the Hall 17 basketball courts
Sunday, April 25th - Townhouse Clean-up

Sunday, April 25th - Greek Life Banquet

Last night was the lipsync competition, where teams were judged on creativity, lipsyncing, use of props, level of enthusiasm, audience response, and incorporation of the army theme. Tau Kappa Epsilon was first place, followed by Sigma Chi and Delta Zeta.

Any student is welcome to attend this week's events and cheer on one of the largest organizations on campus, while they celebrate "being Greek!"
Until next time,
